The Akari E Ceiling Lamp features a handmade design using washi paper and bamboo ribbing, all supported by a durable metal frame. These light sculptures, created by Isamu Noguchi, have become iconic examples of modern design from the 1950s. Noguchi began designing them in 1951, and they have been handmade by the original manufacturer in Gifu, Japan for over 50 years. This combination of Japanese handcraft and modern form creates a harmonious and timeless piece.
